Description
This drawing was originally scribbled by Ghassan Kanafani in a meeting, and is very famous in the Middle East.
The back of the card reads:
“Born in Akka in 1936, Kanafani was a prominent spokesman for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and founding editor of its weekly magazine Al-Hadaf. His words added a human dimension to the perpetual tragedy of his people, and he become one of Palestine’s most loved and celebrated voices. His novels and stories were published in sixteen languages and have won numerous literary awards. Kanafani was assassinated, along with his young niece, in 1972 by Israeli Mossad agents.”
