Open Bethlehem is an international public relations campaign created in 2005 to address the state of emergency in Bethlehem. It aims to transcend the city's closure with a positive message asserting Bethlehem's international status as an open, multi-faith world heritage city.
DVD and CD set
The multimedia information pack includes one DVD and one CD, with the following contents:
- Promotional video "I am a Bethlehemite" (4-minutes)
- Three photo essays: "The State of Bethlehem Today," "The Rachel Tomb's Case," and "The Open Bethlehem Campaign."
- A collection of high quality photos from Bethlehem free for public use. (photos should be credited to Open Bethlehem).

About the director
Leila Sansour is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Open Bethlehem, a non-governmental foundation established to promote and protect the life and heritage of the city of Bethlehem. Sansour developed the Bethlehem Passport in partnership with the city council and governor of Bethlehem. Pope Benedict XVI became the first recipient of the Bethlehem passport when he accepted the citizenship of Bethlehem in December 2005.
Leila Sansour is a film director who produced the film Jeremy Hardy vs. The Israeli Army (coming soon to Palestine Online Store), following the British comedian Jeremy Hardy and his travails during the siege of Bethlehem in 2002.
